BMW HYDROGEN FUEL CELL 2020 Review,Concept - BMW jumped on the bandwagon with the debut of two prototype hydrogen fuel cell powered by two very different models of production. Cars - modified i8 coupe and 5 Series Gran Turismo hatchback - debut in the BMW Innovation Days 2015 event and represented the first tangible result of ongoing collaboration with the German car manufacturer Toyota.

While the Series 5 GT retains the problematic stock looks, the BMW i8 give a dramatic makeover in the transition of plug-in hybrid vehicle hydrogen fuel cells. Bodywork is retaken, aerodynamic wheels, and matte black paint to make it look like a stealth fighter jet.
BMW claims the car can travel 300 miles on one tank of hydrogen, with fueling took about five minutes. However, it is not willing to disclose other specifications. Both cars also result from BMW partnership with Toyota, which will launch a fuel cell car Mirai in the US later this year. While BMW has access to the knowledge of hydrogen Toyota, Toyota will get a new sports car out of the deal.

Two prototype fuel cell is for demonstration purposes only. BMW did not have a firm time for the production of fuel cell cars, although expect to continue working with Toyota towards the goal of having powertrain components ready by 2020. It believes fuel cells could create "ideal addition" to his second "i" sub-brand and the line of mainstream models. There are rumors that the next "i" models will feature a fuel cell powertrain, but the company has offered proof that happened so far.
