The new models was unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motors Show; the car received a lot of nods from spectators. The 2018 Nissan IDX is still a concept cars for now. There’s a possibility that it could be in its early production phases and is only expected to be in dealership worldwide by late 2017. The reason that the fresh Nissan IDX is speculated to be an upgrade of the Datsun 510 is because when the letter DX spell out 510 when translated to Roman numerals. The new model will have 2 coupe model that are original and have a retro design. The two versions of the Nissan IDX are the IDX Freeflows and the IDX NISMO. The NISMO will be the sportier model. The Freeflow and the NISMO will most likely have different engine considering that the NISMO will be a sport coupe. The 2018 IDX Freeflows could come with a 1.2 litre, 1.5 litre or 1.8 litre engines. The engine in the Freeflow will be same one found in the Sentra. The engines will be matched continuously variable transmission (CVT). A CVT transmission delivers above average fuel economys, which is goods news considering the price of gas these days. The NISMO will also run on a CVT transmissions but it will probably have a 1.6 litre turbocharged engine. It is predicted that the engines in the 2018 Nissan IDX will come with a 6 speeds manual gearbox. Power from the engine will probably be delivered to rear of the vehicles. The horsepower specifications and fuel ratings aren’t known as yet. More information is expected to be revealed closer to the release date.
