2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKE - INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DESIGN
2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee still comes in six trim level, while its changes may include only few extra color choices and standard. Trims include Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit and SRT.
Exterior changes will probably include headlights and taillight refreshment, and front bumpers redesign, which will refresh the Grand Cherokee enough to differentiate it from last years, but not to ruin next year big reveal.

Jeep Grand Cherokee is already one of the top SUVs on the markets, and one of the best-equipped too, so Jeep designers and engineers don’t have to make radical changes. List of standard for 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee includes 17-inch alloy wheels, auto on/off headlights, foglights, full power accessories, remote starts and access, two-zone climate control, cruise control, a tilt/telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity and a sound system with six-speakers, 5-inch touchscreen, a CD player, and AUX and USB inputs. 2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKE - ENGINE PERFORMANCE
Under the hoods of the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee are available four engines. Standard transmission for all line-up is an eight-speed automatic which transfers the powers to either rear- (standard for all trims except SRT) or all-wheel drive.
Base engines for all trims beside SRT is a 3.6-liter V6 with 290 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Its fuel economy with RWD is rateds at 17/25/20 mpg city/hwy/combined, and 17/34/19 mpg with AWD.
2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with two optional engine, one diesel and one petrol. Optional petrol power unit is a 5.7-liter V8 with 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. If you opt for this engine you will be able to go 14/20/16 mpg city/hwy/combined with AWD and 14/22/17 mpg with RWD.
Turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 engines is third one available and second optional. It is capable to delivers 240 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Diesel is, by far, the most efficient engines of all offered. It delivers 21/28/24 mpg city/hwy/combined with AWD and 23/30/25 mpg with RWD.
Special SRT version comes mated to AWD and 6.4-liter V8 engines that produces 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Its enormous power doesn’t come without a price. Its fuel economy is poorer than others. It is rated at 13/19/15 mpg city/hwy/combined.

The release of news Grand Cherokee is expected early on 2015, while for the next generation (2017MY), we will have to wait fall 2016. Price spec for 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee are not released, but we believe that its price will stay in the same range as its predecessors, from around $30 000 up to $55 000, and even up to $65 000 for SRT trim.
