The 2016 Volkswagen Beetle Dune concept was premiered in January 2014. Designers are presented larger wheelbase and greater height which will bring more spaces in the cabin. The vehicle remains faithful to their traditional form but with modern lines and aggressive looks. New alloy wheels will be 19 inches. Headlights and taillights with its grille will be redesigned. It is possible to be thrown back spoilers. The interior is decorated with style and offer plenty equipment.

Under the hoods of 2016 Volkswagen Beetle will be offered turbocharged 2L Inline-4 petrol and diesel engine with output of up to 210 horse. With the acceleration of 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) for 7 seconds, new Beetle Dune can reach a top speed up to 140 mph (225 km/h). Customer will have a choice of manual and automatic transmission, both with six speed. Planned fuel consumptions is 27 mp in average. It is almost 10% lower then current model. It was certain to appear 2,5L Inline-5 petrol engine with output of 170 horses.
